More Than 16,000 Pairs of Shoes Lined Up Together in Huge World Record
Heel the world: Incredible time lapse video shows more than 16,000 pairs of shoes lined up together in huge world record attempt � Thousands of shoes of all shapes and sizes, lined up alongside each other heel to toe, you could be forgiven for thinking this was some kind of modern art installation. In fact these startling images are from a new Guinness World Record set by National Geographic Kids magazine for the largest number of shoes collected for recycling in one place as part of their Run for the Planet campaign. Staff at the headquarters in Washington D.C emptied more than 50 gigantic boxes filled with unwanted trainers of all kinds sent by families and children from across America and set a new record of 16,407.

The World's Largest Cigar worth 200,000 Dollars
Juan Panesso has had a lot of strange requests over the years he's managed his online cigar store-- but a 20-foot long stogie with a $200,000 price tag was easily the strangest. And the most stressful.

Kuwait�s Golden Jubilee Fireworks Enters Guinness World Records
November 10, 2012 marked the golden jubilee of Kuwait�s constitution and the country celebrated it with a spectacular $15-million fireworks display which earned the wealthy Gulf state a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Tens of thousands of Kuwaitis and expatriates filled the seaside Arabian Gulf Road to watch the dazzling display of colors and light that saw a staggering 77,282 fireworks launched over a period of one hour. The visual presentation marked 50 years to the day since the late emir Sheikh Abdullah al-Salem al-Sabah announced that Kuwait had become the first Arab state in the Gulf to issue a constitution and have a parliament. 08 more images after the break...

Flower Garden � AL-Ain Paradise
The garden had set the Guinness World Records achievement last year with 2,426 hanging baskets. This year however, Akar Landscaping Services and Agriculture (the company responsible for the garden), had decided to expand the garden to make it even more impressive, and hopefully to break their own record. The general Manager of Akar Landscaping Services and Agriculture Est., Abdelnasser Rahhal, today announced that the company will organize a Guinness World Records attempt for the largest number of hanging flower baskets on Monday February 28, 2011 in AL-Ain city, United Arab Emirates. 15 more images after the break...
